Job summary

McDermott Will & Schulte in the United States seeks an Information Governance Risk and Compliance Analyst to manage governance initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance across the firm.

You will oversee client transfers, onboarding/offboarding of attorneys and clients, and manage electronic records using iManage, Prosperoware Milan, Titan File, and ServiceNow. The role reports to the Information Governance Manager and supports secure data handling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or at least two years of related work experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
• Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Understand and articulate the Firm’s Information Governance Policy to stakeholders.
• Resolve inquiries relating to Information Governance policies and procedures.
• Coordinate identification, transfer, and collection of materials for attorney departures, lateral acquisitions, or client transfers.
• Transfer electronic records to/from the Document Management System (iManage) and related repositories.
• Ensure electronic data and metadata are imported, classified, and assigned correctly to client/matter workspaces.
• Document outbound digital record transfers for due diligence and repository tracking (ServiceNow).
• Develop and maintain relationships with attorneys during onboarding/offboarding.
• Utilize FTP server technology (Titan File), security controls (7-zip), Prosperoware Milan metadata, and reporting tools.
• Collaborate with Legal and Business Operations to support client service relationships.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining best practices for technology and workflows.
