Job summary

Monroe Health & Rehab Center in Chester, VA seeks an RN Infection Preventionist to oversee the infection control program for a 90-bed skilled nursing facility. This full-time role includes staff development coordination and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities include planning training, evaluating outcomes, and maintaining documentation using EHR and LMS systems. Requires 2+ years teaching adults and 3+ years in long-term care; competently manage education

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered RN license to practice in the state you work.
• Maintain an active CPR or BLS Certification.
• Be qualified by education, training, or experience to meet the position requirements.
• Must have completed specialized training in infection prevention and control, including state-specific training.
• Must have basic computer skills and ability to navigate Learning Management software and the electronic health record.
• Must have at least 2 years’ experience teaching adult learners and 3 years in long-term care to be SME in policies, compliance and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the infection prevention and control program in the community.
• Develop and lead training plans and materials; evaluate training efficacy.
• Coordinate Staff Development activities and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Plan, organize and direct educational programs across the community.
