Genesis HealthCare seeks an Infection Preventionist to lead the nursing center's IPCP across locations, acting as educator and consultant for staff, focusing on infection prevention, surveillance outcomes, outbreak management and employee health.

You will train new hires, develop education programs and maintain IPCP to ensure high quality patient care and prevent infections in the center, with flexible scheduling to cover evening and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN licensure.
• Must complete specialized training in infection prevention and control within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum of three years full-time or equivalent nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Infection Prevention - Control Activities, Outcome - Process Surveillance, Outbreak Management, and Employee Health.
• Support new hire orientation with infection prevention training.
• Develop, implement, monitor and maintain IPCP to ensure quality of patient care.
