Job summary

Genesis Healthcare is seeking an Infection Preventionist to lead the nursing center's IPCP across multiple locations, focusing on infection prevention, surveillance, outbreak management, and employee health. The role acts as a practitioner, educator, consultant, and facilitator to staff.

You will train new hires, develop education programs, and ensure high-quality patient care by preventing and controlling infections in the center.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN licensure by the State Board of Nursing. 8 RN, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Must complete specialized training in infection prevention and control within 90 days of hire.
• A minimum of three years full-time or equivalent nursing experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Infection Prevention - IPCP program oversight across locations.
• Support new hire orientation with infection prevention training.
• Develop, implement, and monitor education programs and IPCP for infection control and outbreak prevention.
