Job summary

Genesis is seeking an Infection Preventionist to lead the IPCP across multiple locations. You will train staff, develop education programs, and monitor infection control to protect patients and residents.

The role requires an RN with current licensure, at least 3 years of nursing experience, and completion of infection prevention training within 90 days of hire. Flexible hours may be needed to align with shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
• Must complete specialized training in infection prevention and control within 90 days of hire.
• A minimum of three years full-time or equivalent nursing experience is required.
• Must be able to work flexible hours to meet with employees on evening and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the nursing center's Infection Prevention and Control Program (IPCP) and act as a practitioner, educator and facilitator.
• Provide infection prevention training for new hires and develop education programs in response to identified needs.
• Develop, implement and monitor IPCP to ensure high-quality patient care and infection control.
