Genesis HealthCare is seeking an Infection Preventionist – LPN to lead the nursing center's Infection Prevention & Control Program and collaborate with QAPI teams to prevent infections. You will educate staff, review immunizations, and supervise IPC activities across centers.

Requirements include an active LPN license, IPC training within 90 days, and a minimum of three years of nursing experience, with preference for long-term care and supervisory roles; evening/night shift flexibility is

Qualifications

• Must complete specialized training in infection prevention and control within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum three years of nursing experience; two years in long-term care preferred.
• One year in a supervisory/administrative role is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet evening and night shifts.
• Must work at least part-time.

Responsibilities

• Lead the nursing center's Infection Prevention and Control Program (IPCP).
• Serve as practitioner, resource, educator and facilitator for staff across centers.
• Coordinate infection prevention with QAPI and report on IPCP status.
• Develop and teach education programs addressing infection control needs.
• Oversee immunization review and influenza/pneumococcal vaccine efforts.
• Maintain infection prevention records per policy and regulatory requirements.
