Genesis HealthCare, Inc. seeks an Infection Preventionist - LPN to lead and manage the center's Infection Prevention and Control Program, integrating IPC with QAPI and educating staff. The role supports employee health, outbreak management and surveillance across facilities.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and hold current LPN licensure.
• Must complete specialized training in infection prevention and control within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum three years of full-time nursing experience; long-term care experience preferred.
• Able to work flexible hours including evenings and nights; part-time commitment required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the quality of patient care as it relates to infection prevention and control of infections.
• Integrate the Infection Prevention and Control program with the nursing centers' QAPI processes; serve on the QAPI committee and report IPCP status.
• Develop, implement and teach education programs based on identified infection control needs.
• Support new hire orientation by providing infection prevention training.
• Review immunization documentation for new hires to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee implementation and quality of influenza and pneumococcal vaccination.
• Maintain infection prevention and control records per policy and regulatory requirements.
