Job summary

Genesis HealthCare is seeking an Infection Preventionist -- LPN to lead the Infection Prevention and Control Program across nursing centers. The role focuses on infection prevention, employee health, outbreak management, and outcome surveillance, collaborating with staff to prevent infections.

The LPN must be licensed in Pennsylvania, complete specialized IPC training within 90 days, and bring at least three years of nursing experience, with long-term care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as an LPN in the state.
• Specialized infection prevention training within 90 days of hire.
• 3+ years nursing experience; LTAC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Infection Prevention and Control Program (IPCP).
• Educate staff and support QAPI activities.
• Ensure immunization documentation compliance for new hires.
• Oversee outbreak management and surveillance reporting.
• Coordinate employee health and vaccination programs.
• Maintain IPCP records per policy and regulatory requirements.
