Job summary

PowerBack Rehabilitation is seeking an Infection Preventionist – LPN to lead the Infection Prevention and Control Program across nursing centers. The role focuses on infection prevention, employee health, outbreak management, and surveillance, partnering with staff to reduce infection risk.

The ideal candidate is an LPN with specialized IPC training within 90 days of hire and at least three years of nursing experience, including long-term care.

Qualifications

• Must have nursing licensure and education to practice as an LPN.
• Specialized training in infection prevention and control within 90 days of hire.
• Experience in long-term care nursing and in a management/ supervisory role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the nursing center's Infection Prevention and Control Program (IPCP).
• Educate staff and integrate IPCP with QAPI processes.
• Develop and deliver education programs on infection control needs.
• Support new hire orientation with infection prevention training.
• Review immunization documentation for compliance.
• Oversee influenza and pneumococcal vaccination programs.
• Maintain IPCP records per policy and regulatory requirements.
