Job summary

Frederick Health seeks an experienced Manager of Infection Prevention and Control to lead organization-wide infection prevention initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The role oversees reporting, outbreak response, and NHSN participation across inpatient, ambulatory and offsite settings.

The successful candidate will have a nursing degree, CIC certification, and a minimum of ten years in healthcare with strong leadership and collaboration skills to drive quality and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field is required.
• CIC certification is required.
• Ten years of work experience in a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of infection prevention, regulatory standards and accreditation processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership across Infection Prevention and Control across inpatient, ambulatory, and offsite areas.
• Ensure mandatory reporting with CMS, state and local health departments; oversee outbreak investigations.
• Oversee NHSN participation and data accuracy; drive quality improvement initiatives.
• Hire, develop, and support Infection Preventionists and staff with regulatory training and compliance.
