Job summary

VHC Health in Arlington, VA, is seeking an Infection Prevention Manager to lead the hospital's infection prevention and control program, oversee surveillance, and support regulatory compliance. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Epidemiology, Healthcare Administration, or related healthcare field required.
• Master's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Epidemiology, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
• Five years healthcare experience with at least three in infection prevention or quality.
• Experience with CDC NHSN surveillance methodologies and infection reporting.
• Knowledge of CMS, Joint Commission, DNV, OSHA, CDC, and APIC infection prevention requirements.
• Experience with data analysis, chart review, and quality improvement methodologies.
• Experience using EPIC Bugsy infection control and surveillance module.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day infection prevention and control activities.
• Lead surveillance and outbreak investigations.
• Coordinate regulatory compliance efforts across departments.
• Provide staff education on infection prevention practices.
• Facilitate implementation of evidence-based infection control measures.
• Supervise infection prevention staff; collaborate with clinical and operational teams.
