Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in New York seeks a process or mechanical engineer focused on industrial wastewater treatment and process mechanical design to join our Industrial Water team.

You will work on planning, design, and construction projects and collaborate with senior engineers and global water experts. Responsibilities include calculations, report preparation, specifications, CAD drawings, and field work.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering; other disciplines considered with experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in process or mechanical engineering for industrial clients.
• Hybrid working arrangement may be available; field work incl. exposure to elements.

Responsibilities

• Support design documentation, plans and reports.
• Develop designs via sketches, CAD models, diagrams and P&ID development.
• Create 3D models of process mechanical systems with a design team.
• Coordinate with disciplines to ensure design intent; review shop drawings and submittals.
• Assist in cost estimation and value engineering; apply sustainable design principles.
