Job summary

Stantec is seeking a process or mechanical engineer, or engineer-in-training focused on industrial wastewater treatment and process mechanical design to join our Industrial Water team.

You will work under senior engineers and practice leaders on planning, design and construction projects, with opportunities to evaluate, specify and engineer systems, perform calculations, and develop drawings and reports across multiple offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Mechanical or Chemical engineering.
• Coursework or experience in industrial wastewater treatment processes.
• Understanding of design documentation and production of drawings/specifications.

Responsibilities

• Supports project team in design documentation, plans and reports.
• Executes assignments with intermediate engineering fundamentals.
• Assists in developing designs using CAD and three‑dimensional models.
• Works with design teams on process mechanical systems modeling.
• Prepares/edits facility layouts, diagrams and P&ID development.
• Coordinates with other disciplines to ensure design intent.
• Assists with shop drawings review, RFIs and site observation reports.
• Participates in value engineering and basic cost estimating.
