Job summary

Stantec is seeking an engineer specializing in industrial wastewater treatment and process mechanical design to join our Industrial Water team. You will collaborate with senior engineers on planning, design, and construction projects, performing calculations, reports, drawings, and fieldwork.

You will work with CAD/3D tools, engage in multi-disciplinary teams, and support project coordination from design through construction, with opportunities for site visits and value engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering.
• 1–3 years of process or mechanical engineering experience for industrial clients.
• Hybrid working arrangement may be available.
• Knowledge of process mechanical systems, hydraulics, and industry standards.
• Experience with CAD and P&ID development is a plus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist design team with development of design documentation, plans, and reports.
• Execute assignments with intermediate engineering fundamentals for project delivery.
• Assist in the development of a design through sketches, models, and diagrams using CAD.
• Work with a design team to develop 3D models of process mechanical systems.
• Prepare and revise documentation including facility layouts, diagrams, and P&ID development.
• Perform data gathering, testing procedures, and engineering calculations.
