Job summary

Stantec is seeking a process or mechanical engineer for the Industrial Water team focused on designing and analyzing industrial wastewater systems. You will work under senior engineers across multiple offices, performing design calculations, CAD modeling, and documentation development.

The role emphasizes collaboration, sustainable design, and participation in project teams, with a hybrid work option and opportunities to engage with global water experts.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of process mechanical systems, hydraulics, means and methods, materials and standards.
• Understanding of engineering document production and relation between drawings and specifications.
• Experience or coursework in industrial wastewater treatment processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports the project team in developing design documents, plans and reports.
• Performs engineering calculations and assists with P&ID development.
• Assists in CAD-based design and 3D modeling of process mechanical systems.
• Coordinates with other disciplines to ensure design intent compatibility.
• Contributes to cost estimation, bid support and documentation reviews.
• Participates in design reviews and project coordination meetings.
