Job summary

Stantec is seeking a process or mechanical engineer, or engineer-in-training focused on industrial wastewater treatment and process mechanical design to join our Industrial Water team. This role involves design, calculations, reports, drawings, and field work under supervision across multiple offices.

Hybrid working arrangement may be available. The candidate should have foundational knowledge of process mechanical systems and strong teamwork skills, with EIT or ability to obtain it in their

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering (ABET-accredited).
• 1–3 years of experience in process or mechanical engineering for industrial clients.
• Hybrid working arrangement may be available.

Responsibilities

• Supports design documentation, plans, and reports for project elements.
• Executes assignments with intermediate engineering fundamentals.
• Assists in development of designs via sketches and CAD models.
• Develops 3D models of process mechanical systems.
• Prepares and revises facility layouts, diagrams, and P&ID development.
• Performs data gathering, testing procedures, and engineering calculations.
• Coordinates with other disciplines to ensure design intent.
• Assists with shop drawings reviews and contract administration tasks.
