Job summary

Stantec is seeking a process or mechanical engineer, or engineer-in-training, focused on industrial wastewater treatment and process mechanical design. Work under senior engineers on planning, design, and construction projects across multiple offices.

You will perform calculations, prepare reports, create specs, and develop CAD drawings while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Hybrid options and field exposure help grow practical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering; ABET accreditation preferred.
• 1–3 years of process or mechanical engineering experience for industrial clients.
• EIT or ability to obtain in home state; strong communication and teamwork.
• Familiarity with process mechanical systems, hydraulics, and drawings/specs.

Responsibilities

• Support design documentation, plans, and reports for project elements.
• Develop sketches and CAD models; contribute to 3D models of systems.
• Review shop drawings and submittals; assist in contract administration tasks.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams; participate in cost estimating and VE.
