Job summary

MasTec, Inc. is seeking a full‑time structural steel helper to raise, modify, and bolt or weld steel members on industrial projects. You will work with a crew to read drawings, assist with hoisting, and secure components with fasteners under supervision.

The role requires up to 50 hours weekly, possible travel to project sites, and adherence to safety protocols. Compensation reflects a $31.00/hour base with_shift differential and opportunities for merit-based increases.

Qualifications

• Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret measuring tools to perform tasks accurately.
• Assist in setting up hoisting equipment for lifting structural members.
• Assist in bolting and welding steel members in place.
• Maintain safety and participate in toolbox meetings.
• Guide members during lifting operations using tag lines.
• Use hand tools as directed to position and assemble parts.
