Expect a 50-hour week, with on-site work and up to 90% travel to project sites. Compensation starts at $31/hour with a $2 shift differential and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in helper role
• Knowledge of MIC Health and Safety programs and project regulations
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations for measurements and weights
• Ability to work within precise standards and follow procedures

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret measuring tools and drawings to perform tasks accurately.
• Assist in setting up hoisting equipment for raising and placing structural-steel members.
• Assist in bolting, welding, and positioning steel members as required.
• Assist in aligning holes and guiding members during assembly.
• Support in cutting and welding steel and performing modifications as needed.
• Follow directions from foreman and work with other crafts as required.
