Job summary

MasTec Industrial is seeking a skilled helper to read drawings, interpret safety rules, and assist with the fabrication and installation of structural-steel elements on project sites. You will work as part of a crew performing measurements, hoisting setup, bolting, drilling, and welding under supervision.

Our team emphasizes safety, reliability, and hands-on problem solving in challenging outdoor environments. This role requires physical stamina and adherence to all site procedures.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year related experience or training, or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months of helper experience.
• Ability to read safety rules and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret measuring tools such as tape measure and framing square.
• Assist in hoisting equipment setup for raising structural-steel members.
• Bolt or weld steel members into position as directed.
• Align holes and bolts using drift pins and wrenches.
• Cut and weld steel with oxyacetylene torch and welding equipment.
• Follow safety rules and participate in toolbox meetings.
