Job summary

MasTec Industrial is hiring for a full-time structural-steel helper role on a heavy industrial site. You will read measuring tools, assist in hoisting and placing heavy members, and help bolt or weld components to form completed structures.

Expect long shifts and travel to project sites, with strict safety and teamwork expectations. Responsibilities include reading drawings, supporting cutting/welding, and coordinating with crew members to maintain alignment and quality.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years related experience or training, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in helper role.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret measuring tools to perform tasks accurately.
• Assist in setting up hoisting equipment for raising and placing structural-steel members.
• Assist in fastening and guiding steel members into position with hoisting devices.
• Assist in cutting and welding steel members to make modifications.
• Support other crafts and follow project supervision directions.
