Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a Sales Director for the Flow Control division in Charlotte, NC. You will lead the industrial sales team, drive growth, manage budgets, and shape sales plans while partnering with senior leadership to achieve targets.

You will oversee the full sales cycle, develop customer relationships, maintain deep product knowledge, and deliver ongoing team training to maximize performance. No relocation is required.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in technical sales for industrial products.
• Experience leading sales teams and managing P&L.
• Ability to develop budgets and sales plans.
• Strong knowledge of industrial valves, instrumentation, pumps and steam equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to penetrate existing markets and explore new opportunities within the industrial sector.
• Lead and motivate the industrial sales team to achieve sales targets and exceed customer expectations.
• Oversee the entire sales process from lead generation to closing, ensuring efficiency at every stage.
• Collaborate with senior management to create annual sales budgets and monitor performance against targets.
• Develop comprehensive sales plans aligned with company objectives, including market analysis and customer needs.
• Cultivate strong relationships with key customers and partners to drive satisfaction and loyalty.
• Maintain deep product knowledge to position our solutions effectively in the market.
• Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales team.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement growth plans.
