Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a proven Director/Leader in sales management and sales training to build and oversee a regional team. The role offers significant growth potential and exposure to a broad portfolio of valves, instrumentation, piping, and filtration solutions.

You will drive sales strategy, lead the industrial sales team, manage the full sales process, and collaborate with senior management to set budgets and plans across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Industrial Distribution, or related field.
• Proven leadership with sales teams in industrial/technical markets.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to penetrate markets.
• Lead and motivate the industrial sales team to meet targets.
• Oversee end-to-end sales process from lead gen to closing deals.
• Create annual sales budgets and monitor performance versus targets.
• Develop sales plans aligned with company objectives and market needs.
• Cultivate relationships with key customers and partners.
• Maintain deep product knowledge of portfolio and industry trends.
• Provide ongoing training to improve sales skills and product knowledge.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and action plans for growth.
• Manage operations across multiple locations for Inside sales, Warehouse and Pipe Fabrication.
