Job summary

Reworld Waste, LLC in Ronkonkoma, NY is seeking a Safety Program Manager to lead, implement, and sustain a comprehensive SHE program aligned with Reworld standards. This facility-level role emphasizes OSHA compliance, safety leadership, and environmental stewardship in partnership with operations and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of occupational health and safety experience.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing or heavy industrial environments.
• Working knowledge of OSHA 1910/1926 and state safety regulations.
• Professional safety certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of the facility's SHE programs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA 1910/1926 regulations and safety requirements.
• Monitor program effectiveness via KPIs, audits, field observations, and inspections.
• Lead incident investigations including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain complete, accurate safety records and regulatory documentation.
• Manage the facility safety training program and contractor compliance requirements.
• Educate and coach employees on safe work practices and safe behaviors.
• Partner with facility leadership on contractor safety performance and training.
• Serve as primary contact for occupational health and medical surveillance programs.
• Support environmental compliance activities including inspections and reporting.
• Lead safety committees and drive cross-functional safety initiatives.
