Job summary

Saft America, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Engineering Technician in Jacksonville, FL to advance manufacturing processes and documentation.

You will audit processes, assist in problem solving, and support cross-department standards and tooling requirements while helping design and implement new system processes. The role requires an associate degree or equivalent experience, 2+ years in an industrial setting, and strong mechanical aptitude with CAD basics.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing engineering tech role.
• 2+ years relevant experience in an industrial setting with manufacturing engineering responsibilities.
• Strong mechanical aptitude related to complex equipment and components.
• Basic CAD knowledge.
• Application of lean manufacturing concepts.
• Experience with SPC and capability analysis.
• Excellent problem solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform audits on manufacturing processes.
• Assist engineers with identifying and addressing chronic failure modes.
• Support process improvements in R&I, Receiving, and Procurement processes.
• Help implement process/equipment changes with data collection.
• Document new processes and create work instructions and training materials.
• Collaborate with engineers to design and apply new system processes.
• Create training material for the 210 process.
• Maintain engineering documentation and cross-department standards.
• Provide BOM support and Windchill/QAD assistance for fixtures and assemblies.
• Support quality receiving and inspection activities.
• Other tasks to support the team.
