Job summary

Jabil is seeking an Industrial Engineering Tech I to support the industrial engineering team in optimizing manufacturing processes and reducing costs. You will collect data, perform basic analysis, and help document processes, while participating in lean initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.

Role requires up to 2 years of manufacturing exposure, proficiency with Excel, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data related to production processes, cycle times, and resource utilization.
• Assist in time studies, work sampling, and other industrial engineering methodologies to identify areas for improvement.
• Support the development and maintenance of process documentation, including work instructions, SOPs, and process flowcharts.
• Help implement process improvements and cost reduction initiatives under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities, such as 5S events and value stream mapping.
• Prepare basic reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and other departments to gather information and facilitate process changes.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
