Job summary

CMC invites engineering students to join our internship program across our recycling centers, fabrication plants, and facilities. You will gain hands-on experience in real-world projects, be mentored by industry professionals, and explore multiple departments to understand our business operations.

You’ll cross-train in industrial/engineering technologies, identify cost-saving opportunities, and present improvement projects at the internship’s end.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited university program pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field at time of internship (Junior level or higher preferred)
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Strong interest in Industrial Engineering Technologies

Responsibilities

• Cross-train through the department to learn hands-on skills related to industrial/engineering technologies
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend cost saving opportunities by identifying process, quality and safety related improvement projects
• Work closely with other on the CMC Team work on process improvement initiatives & projects
• Presentation/Report on an improvement project at the end of internship
• Ability to troubleshoot work related problems using job knowledge, experience, and by communicating with others
• Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture
