Job summary

CMC, a Fortune 500 company, is seeking an undergraduate intern in Industrial Engineering or Operations Management for our Columbia, SC location. You’ll be immersed in hands-on projects across recycling centers, fabrication plants, and offices, with mentorship from industry professionals and exposure to multiple departments from day one.

Responsibilities include cross-training, time-and-motion studies, reporting improvements, and supporting leadership on process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Pursuing undergrad in IE/OM or related field.
Strong quantitative and analytical abilities required.
Excellent written and verbal communication in a team setting.

Responsibilities

Cross-train across departments to learn hands-on engineering tech.
Complete and analyze time and motion studies.
Document and report suggested changes.
Collaborate with leadership to improve and sustain processes.
Create and review process flow layouts.
