Job summary

CMC provides an internship opportunity in the steel reinforcement and construction industries. You will rotate across recycling centers, fabrication plants, and manufacturing facilities, gaining hands-on experience and real-world exposure while mentors guide you for growth.

Interns may transition to full-time roles at CMC based on performance. Responsibilities include cross-training, cost-saving assessments, and presenting projects at the internship’s end.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled as a junior or senior in an accredited engineering program.
• Willing to work 40 hours weekly during summer (June-August).
• Work independently with initiative and drive for results.
• Knowledge of Windows and engineering software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Understand ISO work instructions and procedures.
• Subject to physical requirements and safety standards in industrial settings.
• Strong written and spoken English skills.
• Previous internship experiences preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cross-train through departments to gain hands-on industrial/engineering skills.
• Identify and recommend cost-saving process and quality improvements.
• Collaborate with the continuous improvement team on projects.
• Present an improvement project at internship end.
• Troubleshoot work-related problems using knowledge and teamwork.
• Support and participate in CMC Safety Programs and culture.
