Job summary

Amazon's Global Engineering Services (GES) North America Design & Construction seeks a Preconstruction Manager to lead cross-functional industrial projects from site selection through design completion, permitting, and contract execution in the Arlington area. You will drive scope, budget, and schedule with internal teams and vendors.

You will travel up to 60% and relocate if needed, acting as owner’s representative to ensure design standards and operational requirements are met while delivering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field required.
• Advanced degree or certification in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration preferred.
• 5+ years of project management experience in design through operation.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage difficult, cross-functional industrial preconstruction projects from site selection through design completion, permitting, and contract execution.
• Lead site selection and validation, scope development, and design management meeting Amazon's standards.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects across locations and coordinate with internal teams and vendors.
• Develop budgets and schedules, perform conceptual estimating, and review contracts.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
