Job summary

Amazon's Global Engineering Services (GES) North America Design & Construction team seeks a Preconstruction Manager to act as the owner's representative through the preconstruction phase of facility delivery. You will independently manage cross-functional industrial projects from site selection to permit approvals and contract execution for new builds and expansions.

Travel accounts for about 60% of duties, with regular work from a corporate office when not traveling.

Qualifications

• Preconstruction management of industrial projects across regions.
• Experience coordinating with multiple internal/external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of site selection, design management, and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage difficult, cross-functional industrial pre-construction projects from site selection through design completion, permitting, and contract execution.
• Work with Real Estate, Design Engineering, Entitlements, Construction, Finance, Launch/Startup, architects, engineers, permitting agencies, developers, and landlords to secure resources and milestones.
• Lead site selection, validation, and design management; ensure plans meet Amazon's standards and requirements.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects across locations; perform conceptual estimating and pricing reviews.
• Own budget tracking, schedule management, and cashflow forecasting; coordinate procurement and oversee providers.
