Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking an OT Network & Security Engineer II to implement, operate, and support secure network infrastructure and cybersecurity controls across OT environments in the United States.

The role focuses on hands-on configuration and troubleshooting of enterprise networking and security while collaborating with SCADA, field operations, OT Cybersecurity, vendors, and infrastructure teams. OT experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related discipline.
• 3+ years in network engineering or security in industrial/operational environments.
• CCNA/CCNP or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and related network infrastructure.
• Support routing, VLANs, network segmentation, firewall policies, and secure remote access.
• Monitor network performance, logs, and security events for timely resolution.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues using diagnostic tools and data.
• Implement firewall rules, security profiles, and access controls for least-privilege security.
• Perform firmware upgrades, patching, hardening, and vulnerability remediation.
• Support incident response by analyzing events and applying corrective actions.
• Execute changes via change-management processes with testing and rollback planning.
• Assist commissioning and expansion of network/security at new sites.
• Maintain network diagrams, configuration records, IP addressing, and inventories.
• Collaborate with OT cybersecurity teams to translate requirements into solutions.
