Job summary

Oetiker Group in Town of Lancaster, NY is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep production equipment running and safe. You will repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, troubleshoot failures, and perform preventative maintenance on our automated lines.

The role requires PLC experience, welding is a plus, and forklift/scissor lift certifications. First shift, 6:00 am–2:30 pm, Mon–Fri, with competitive pay and benefits in a global manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical training with PLC equipment repair experience.
• Experience repairing PLC-controlled equipment in manufacturing.
• 3–5 years in manufacturing maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on production machines.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures and initiate repairs.
• Adjust and replace electrical sensors for proper operation.
• Perform preventative maintenance and participate in continuous improvement.
• Handle machine changeovers and tooling swaps.
• Open/close facility operations and start/shut down equipment.
• Utilize power tools, calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators for maintenance.
• Assist with spill response and pest control as needed.
• Support generator power changes in emergencies and rigging/moving of machinery.
• Interpret equipment manuals, drawings, and diagrams.
