Job summary

Oatey Fr in Parma, OH is seeking a Production Maintenance Technician to support and sustain production equipment and to handle preventative maintenance across the plant. This role focuses on reducing downtime, improving OEE, and ensuring safety compliance on all machines and lines.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of maintenance experience, Haz Mat refreshers, and solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and PLC systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of production maintenance experience required.
• Has completed 24-hour Haz Mat training refresher course.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read AC and DC circuits.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and completes repairs of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical PLC related systems and equipment without supervision; completes complex repairs with minimal supervisory support.
• Works in a team environment and participates in departmental problem-solving operations.
• Processes and completes assigned Preventative Maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Installs equipment and components such as motors, pumps, compressors, etc.
• Answers calls for production support and assists in changeovers and setups.
• Uses a variety of hand and power tools and shop equipment.
• Supports Lean Manufacturing goals, including 6S processes and effective communication with teams.
• Develops relationships with production teams.
• Follows safety guidelines and is respirator-fit ready.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
