Job summary

Oerlikon Group in Westbury, NY is seeking a Maintenance Technician to operate and maintain production equipment, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and upgrade systems to keep the manufacturing line running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, PLC familiarity, and the ability to read drawings and use a DMM. Weekend shifts Fri–Sun 12:00 pm–12:00 am.

Qualifications

• 3+ years maintenance experience in manufacturing facilities.
• Must understand mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with PLC controls and reading electrical drawings.
• Familiarity with CMMS software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain production and processing equipment.
• Provide emergency and scheduled repairs during production.
• Diagnose problems, replace parts, test and adjust equipment.
• Read manuals and work orders to perform maintenance.
• Keep records in the CMMS and manage parts inventory.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines and facilities.
