Job summary

Oatey in Parma, Ohio is seeking a Production Maintenance Technician to support and sustain production equipment, improve operations, and own preventive maintenance tasks. The role focuses on reducing downtime, contributing to the OEE metric, and maintaining the plant's physical property.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting PLC and electrical systems, installing equipment, and supporting changeovers. Requires HazMat training, 2+ years of experience, and strong safety and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of production maintenance experience.
• HazMat training (24-hour refresher) and adherence to procedures.
• Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems, including PLCs and circuits.
• High attention to detail and initiative in problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical PLC related systems and equipment with minimal supervision.
• Works in a team and participates in departmental problem-solving efforts.
• Processes and completes Preventative Maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Installs equipment and components such as motors, pumps, compressors, etc.
• Supports Lean Manufacturing goals and 6S processes, and maintains safety practices.
