Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Maintenance Technician I in Nashua, NH. This full-time position involves repairs, installation, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment. On-the-job training is provided, with occasional overtime and a Monday–Friday core schedule.

The role emphasizes safety, blueprints interpretation, and use of a CMMS. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, and prefer a 2-year technical degree. Valid license and lifting ability are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience repairing industrial equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics is required.
• Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills are required.
• Lockout/Tagout experience is required.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain industrial equipment using hand/power tools.
• Ensure safe operation of machinery and systems (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic).
• Follow blueprints, schematics, manuals, and manufacturer instructions.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems using precision measuring tools.
• Perform boiler chemical testing and adjust as needed.
• Conduct routine boiler and location safety checks and repairs.
• Record meter readings and take corrective actions.
• Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
