Job summary

UniFirst Corporation is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech I to join our team. You will perform repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, systems and components in a fast-paced distribution environment.

We offer a standard Monday–Friday work week with periodic night and weekend overtime, on-the-job training, and opportunities to grow within a nationwide manufacturing and service organization.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Must pass UniFirst maintenance knowledge assessment.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Basic computer literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize hand/power tools and testing devices.
• Ensure safe operation of machinery and hydraulic systems.
• Follow blueprints, schematics and manuals.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems with precision instruments.
• Perform boiler chemical tests and wastewater adjustments.
• Conduct daily/weekly safety checks and repairs as needed.
• Record meter readings and take corrective actions.
• Inspect motors, belts, and lubrication per procedures.
• Use a CMMS to document maintenance activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
