Job summary

UniFirst Corporation in Wichita, KS seeks a Maintenance Tech II to handle repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment. You will work within a team in the maintenance department, with a Monday–Friday schedule and occasional night/weekend overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in production environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Lockout/Tagout experience required.
• Must pass UniFirst’s maintenance knowledge assessment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment problems using observation and precision tools.
• Assist maintenance personnel with emergency and non-emergency repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and control systems.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, manuals and specifications.
• Perform boiler chemical testing and safety checks.
• Inspect and lubricate moving parts and replace worn components.
• Perform basic welding and other repair tasks.
• Maintain records using a computer system.
