Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech I to join our team. You will handle repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, systems, and components. Training and on-the-job development are provided as part of our team-focused culture.

You will use hand and power tools, read blueprints, operate a CMMS, and perform boiler and safety checks. Overtime may be required, and you’ll contribute to a safe, high-performing facility.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Lockout/Tagout experience required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize hand/power tools, precision measurement tools, and electronic testing devices.
• Ensure safe operation of machinery and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, manuals, and specs.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues using precision instruments.
• Perform boiler chemical testing and wastewater pre-treatment adjustments.
• Record utility meter readings and take corrective actions.
