Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech I to join our team. You will handle repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, systems, and components in a fast-paced environment.

We offer on‑the‑job training, a Monday–Friday schedule with periodic overtime nights and weekends, and opportunities for advancement. You must read blueprints/schematics, use test instruments, and perform routine safety checks while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Utilize hand/power tools, precision measurement tools, and electronic testing devices.
• Ensure safe operation of machinery and related systems.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, operation manuals, and manufacturer instructions.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems using testing instruments and observation.
• Perform boiler chemical and wastewater testing and adjust as needed.
• Conduct daily/weekly safety checks on boilers and systems.
