Job summary

C.H. Guenther is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and facility systems in a fast-paced food-manufacturing environment.

The role requires strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, PLC/SCADA familiarity, and strict adherence to GMP, HACCP, and OSHA standards. Candidates should be able to work non-standard hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5 years’ related experience in industrial manufacturing environment, preferably in an automated food processing plant.
• 5 years’ experience troubleshooting and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on production machinery, including conveyors, mixers, packaging equipment, and refrigeration systems.
• Conduct inspections, lubrication, and adjustments to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement repairs to minimize downtime.
• Respond to emergency unscheduled troubleshooting and repairs during manufacturing to prevent production disruptions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production area, ensuring sanitation and food safety compliance.
• Monitor and repair facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) to support safe operation.
• Adhere to safety protocols (lockout/tagout, PPE) and participate in safety training.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, work orders, inspections, and inventory.
