Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is seeking a Technical Instructor/Facilitator for Fixed Plant Maintenance to develop learners' safety, compliance, and operations skills. Training is hands-on and classroom-based, using pre-developed materials and expert knowledge to evaluate progress.

The role focuses on assessing on-the-job skills, coordinating with operations and maintenance, and maintaining accurate training records in the LMS. Strong communication and a passion for developing others are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 7 years of training or leading teams in a relevant field.
• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of directly related work experience.
• Proven computer literacy, including MS Office and Windows.
• Strong analytical thinking and effective communication skills.
• Experience in adult education or corporate training preferred.
• Familiarity with MSHA/OSHA standards preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
• Experience mentoring/coaching in field environments preferred.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on and classroom training to build employee skills and reinforce technical and compliance knowledge through interactive activities and assessments.
• Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance to align training with workforce needs and elevate unresolved issues.
• Provide technical support to address learning gaps and assist in resolving equipment-related challenges.
• Contribute to the development of competency-based materials and mentor instructional staff.
• Participate in train-the-trainer programs and maintain accurate training records in the LMS.
