Job summary

BlueScope Coated Products, Middletown is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair production equipment on the Middletown line. You will develop maintenance programs to ensure short- and long-term reliability and lead cost optimization to maximize equipment availability and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 3+ years in industrial maintenance, plus the ability to read blueprints and operate power tools and a forklift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical certifications preferred.
• Experience in industrial maintenance and repair.
• Ability to read blueprints and manuals; strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and replace mechanical components on production equipment.
• Plan and maintain preventative maintenance programs to improve reliability.
• Install or assist in the installation of new equipment with proper layout.
• Perform routine, emergency, and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain housekeeping and communicate repair status to plant staff.
