Job summary

BlueScope Coated Products, Middletown, OH is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to maintain and repair production equipment. The role reports to the Maintenance Manager and will develop maintenance programs to improve reliability and reduce downtime.

Requirements include a GED or high school diploma, a Journeyman license, and 5+ years in industrial electrical maintenance, with strong PLC and diagram-reading skills.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Journeyman license required.
• 5+ years experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs (Allen-Bradley, SLC 500/5000, PLC5).
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Must lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical control systems for all manufacturing equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and periodic inspections.
• Install or support new equipment layout and alignment.
• Research and implement solutions to control problems and outages.
• Communicate repair steps, parts, and timelines to maintenance team.
• Ensure housekeeping and safety standards are followed.
