Job summary

BlueScope Coated Products, LLC, a leading coil coating company in the United States, seeks a Maintenance Technician II to perform emergency and preventive repairs on plant machinery and infrastructure. You will collaborate with the production team to minimize downtime and uphold safety standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience as an Industrial Mechanic or Electrician.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience as an Industrial Mechanic and/or Electrician.
• Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for safely performing emergency and preventative repairs to plant machinery and infrastructure.
• Respond to needs of the production supervisor in the event of an emergency breakdown.
• Utilize manpower and equipment to complete repairs in a timely manner.
• Maintain cleanliness of maintenance and work areas.
• Ensure safe use of company equipment and tools.
• Follow Lock-out/Tag-out procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and notify when replenishment is needed.
• Enter and complete work orders in the Work Order system.
• Communicate with Production and Quality Control daily to resolve issues.
