Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Maintenance Tech I to perform repairs, installation, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment. The role entails following blueprints and manuals, using hand/power tools, and ensuring safe operation of mechanical and electrical systems.

On-the-job training is provided with occasional overtime. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a preferred two-year technical degree, and the ability to lift up to 80 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two-year technical degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain industrial equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues using measurements and testing devices.
• Follow blueprints, manuals, and specifications for maintenance tasks.
• Record and report utility meter readings and perform corrective actions.
• Perform routine safety checks on boilers and other systems and perform repairs as needed.
