Job summary

Sonoco in Forest City, NC seeks an Industrial Maintenance Reliability Technician to improve plant reliability. The role focuses on multi-craft maintenance, proactive tasks, root cause analysis, and critical repairs.

You will work under the Plant Engineer and drive maintenance excellence, including safety adherence and continuous improvement efforts, with opportunities to lead more complex maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Associate degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred.
• Experience in maintenance with proactive reliability focus is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive/predictive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and automation equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment; conduct root cause analyses for failures.
• Document maintenance actions in the CMMS and track asset history.
• Support safety, quality, and productivity by resolving abnormal conditions.
