Job summary

Expect a safety‑driven culture, PLC troubleshooting, and wear‑level equipment upgrades. The IMRT role involves proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and collaboration with operations to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Associate degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.
• Experience levels aligned with IMRT I–Sr classifications as described by Sonoco location.
• Proficiency with safety standards and electrical/ mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, robotic/automation, hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam systems.
• Troubleshoot failures and conduct root cause analysis to implement lasting fixes.
• Maintain and repair AC/DC drives and motors; modify PLC programs when required.
• Document all maintenance activity in the CMMS and ensure asset history accuracy.
• Collaborate with operations to identify equipment issues and improve reliability.
