Job summary

Sonoco Akron, IN is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Reliability Technician I-III to support maximum plant reliability through proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis across mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.

The role requires safety-minded technicians with PLC experience, welding/fabrication ability, and CMMS proficiency. Opportunities for progression from I to Sr and a strong benefits package are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with vocational focus preferred.
• Mechatronics/Industrial Maintenance education is a plus.
• Strong technical maintenance and reliability background.

Responsibilities

• Proactively maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and automated systems.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent repeats.
• Document maintenance activities in the CMMS and support safety improvements.
